Implementations for your safety

We know that many companies comply with the GDPR and are increasingly asking for more security from their partners.

Pickaw has been in compliance since its launch with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), implemented by the European Union on 25 May 2018. To this end, we have made the following commitments:

Studying
Before launching the platform, we conducted a feasibility study with our lawyers to ensure that we were in compliance with the GDPR.
Minimizing
We collect as little data as possible, only what is strictly necessary for the proper functioning of our services and for as little time as possible.
Securing
The data we store for you is secured on our own dedicated servers in France, at our host and European leader OVHcloud.

Data collected

All the contest data we collect comes from the public APIs of social media, so they are subject to the rules and policies of their developers that were accepted when any user registered on them. The data collected are therefore public and do not interfere with the GDPR.

Here is the list of the data we collect for a user per network:

  • Numerical identifier
  • User name
  • Display name
  • Profile picture
  • Email address

Your responsibility

We have made sure that your liability is as limited as possible. As a service provider, Pickaw acts as a subcontractor, so you remain responsible for processing this data via our platform.

By using Pickaw, your only mission is therefore:

to inform contestants that the data is collected, processed and stored by Pickaw when you create your contests (for example in their rules or by mentioning it directly in the publication).
